At the Innovent Forum (27–28 March, Larisa), InclusiveSpaces was presented by ESDA Lab as part of a broader showcase of innovative digital solutions addressing real societal needs.
The project highlighted how advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT and digital twins can be applied to create more accessible, inclusive and human-centred environments. In particular, it demonstrated practical applications that support elderly people, as well as individuals with mobility or visual impairments, contributing to more independent and safe everyday living.
InclusiveSpaces was also featured in discussions around inclusive mobility and smart cities, where the importance of connecting indoor and outdoor environments emerged as a key challenge for achieving seamless accessibility. The project brought forward insights from ongoing research and pilot implementations, showing how technological innovation can translate into solutions with tangible impact in urban contexts.
The strong interest from visitors and stakeholders further underlined the relevance of inclusive innovation, while also opening up opportunities for new collaborations with cities, organisations and industry partners.
Overall, InclusiveSpaces stood out as a concrete example of how European research initiatives can deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that support the transition towards more inclusive and connected societies.
